Ancestry results came in and I also browsed to my family’s page/contacted people on my dads side and damn near everyone is black ive never known these people before but it’s very nice to find out about my past
Apparently 7-10% of Ecuadorians have African roots dating back from the slave trade so I guess that makes sense

They all seem to be in the esmeraldas/Quayaquil part of ecuador. Basically the coastal area
And for some reason it just peaked my interest since I know my dad was born in quayaqquil (However he later moved to another part that really didn’t have too much sun. Think it was called Al ausi or something

Mothers side has Spaniard roots btw so I know it’s from my dads family. It’s crazy though. I remember some people in my moms family never liking my dads family and always calling them nasty things for no reason and I feel like I now know why 😐)
