Does anyone know if Amyris edt performance is good. I have a sample and really like the smell, but I can never really judge how the performance bcus I dont want to empty the sample too quick. And has anyone tried the extrait (is it better)?

Amyris EDT lasts like 5-6 hours. Like 2 hours great projection, then its closer to the skin /more of a skin scent like most frags. The extrait is a little more special smelling imo and stronger but both are great and extremely similar like br540 extrait and edp

Sounds good, might sample the extrait soon then before deciding to get a bottle of the edt. 5-6 hours sounds good tho, really want a fresh more day to day fragrance that’s not generic af.

Let me know how long u get from the extrait. Just ordered a decant of the edt. Going to make it my spring scent

Tbh you should use the tester in the same fashion that you would use a full bottle if you want to know how the scent performs in real world application.

Amyris smells great but it really doesn't separate itself that much from fresh/blue designers - especially not at that price point. I would recommend sampling Byredo - Bal D'afrique if you want something a bit more unique in that fresh realm.

How similar is Explorer to Aventus? Strictly in terms of smell

Opening is similar minus the pineapple,, Explorer goes into a different direction in the mid and drydown. Overall not that close but still a good designer scent imo

I can see why @Fantasy says Naxos and Ani smell really similar. I actually think I prefer Naxos better, I get less vanilla and more of a aromatic floral freshness that I really like.

Aura fragrance has the 3.4 oz of Naxos for $145 which seems like an insane deal but I’m still sussed out by the site even tho I’ve read quite a few good reviews
