Help me out here im new to this whole fragrance s*** I usually just put on body spray and call it a day

Smelling nice would be cool tho

I just don't know how the f*** any of this s*** works

Any recommendations for someone starting out? Also have a few questions

    Scent Popularity
    Doesn't Matter

I want to start smelling nice but i'd rather not have some s*** that literally every nigga rockin

Do you want to use it for..
    Daytime

What season should it be appropriate for (select all that apply)
    Winter?

Does the season really matter? How important is this?

What occasion are you wearing it for
    Signature Day to Day

I always thought perfume was just some s*** for formal events but I see ITT that people can actually rock it like everyday so I guess I want some s*** I can rock to uni everyday

    Mood/Tone
    Alpha
    Subtle

Deadass don't know what any of this s*** means either of those two i guess, I don't want some s*** thats crazy overwhelming tho

How much would you like to spend?
    20-50$
    50-100$

    Bless bro.

Got another question which might seem quite silly but how do you coordinate fragrance and deodorant? Is that something that you're supposed to do? I would assume that those two would clash sometimes. Is unscented the way to go when using fragrances?

i use scented deodorant. it doesnt project so it wont clash with my frags. but if you can smell your deo throughout the day, id go for an unscented one

    just peeped this youtube comment:

    • Be prepared to eventually see the death of countless classics, because IFRA's 49th amendment is literally right around the bend, and it's one of the most drastic changes to ever hit the industry. (In a nutshell; the new limitations on material percentages is based on taking into consideration the amount of aroma chemicals in products like soap & deodorant that could ultimately combine with the percentages within a perfume throughout a single 24 hour period) This means... DAMN NEAR EVERYTHING is going to need to be reformulated, and in all likelihood; to quite an extreme.

Might need to get a full bottle of br540 extrait before it gets reformulated

    more info regarding this topic:

    • All new fragrances released must comply by new regulations by 10th February 2021, and perfumers have until February 2022 to reformulate all the current ones.

    • Over the next couple of years you will see a lot of discontinuations, and those which aren't discontinued will be reformulated.

heard about this last week, so dumb

surely current stock won’t sell out before reformulations happen right?

dont think so, think we still have a few more years before these reformulations happen (2022) and they'll keep producing the current juice until they figure out a new formulation.

fragrances have a certain formula code on the box so we will be aware when the new formulations start hitting the market

yeah exactly so this isnt that big of a deal for now

they'll find a way to stay true to the original formula. I highly doubt that many frags will be discontinued like the article is implying tbh

I was worried it would be an immediate thing after seeing that dramatic youtube comment, but we still have a few years

yeah hope we won't notice major differences tbh

rose and oud feels like the most overdone combo tbh. i don't necessarily mind because roses is one of my favorite note in terms of florals but a lot of them feel kinda bland and déjà vu-ish

You’ll get 6 hours out that jazz club but it’s a fragrance that get real tiring to smell after 2 hours so you won’t want that to last long imo
