Not sure how I feel about The One Loved the opening, couldn't stop smelling my wrist while driving. The middle gave me a headache (it was an incense type smell, probably the tobacco) and the dry down smells good, but it's got something in there I've smelt before in cheaper deodorant. Might be the amber, the closest thing I can compare it to is the smell after someone sneezes

Better than 1 million and Black Code but I think Le Male still my go to for Autumn and Winter

Very fresh and decent performance for a 19 dollar bottle lol 2-3 hours. Smells similar to invictus. Good for lamping or running errands and gym

I only have Dior Elixir Sauvage & YSL Y Le parfum both 2 oz bottles. I just be confuse on which should be my day spray or night spray or summer / winter spray. I only wear cologne when i’m going out, so these are not everyday fragrances. Can anyone help ?

You usually want sweeter, longer lasting fragrances that can cut through heavy air when it's cold/night. So notes like tobacco, vanilla. Things that would be overwhelming and unpleasant if you smelt them in high heat. Fragrances like The One, Eros, 1 million

For warmer days, you want fresher fragrances that won't be unpleasant if other people were to smell you. Aquatics with notes like citrus. Acqua di gio, Green Irish Tweed type fragrances

You also need to think of the occasion. The One or Le Male would work for date night. I wouldn't wear Eros or Invictus for the office because they're fragrances that can come across as immature and unsuitable for that environment

Check out Fragrantica if you want to know when a fragrance is suited for. People say Sauvage Elixir is meant for winter, Y Le parfum seems to be leaning towards fall/spring

sooo this is indeed extremely similar to initio's oud for greatness, but I do prefer the parfums de marly one out of the two. the opening and mid has a dark but sweet praline note shining through the woods and leathery saffron which i love. the drydown is more of a sweetened wood. the oud is very tamed, more of a leathery woodsy scent instead of dirty or animalic. this is one of parfums de marlys best releases imo, while making an oud for greatness flanker

Someone on Fragrantica said this, which I fully agree with: it does seem more mass-appealing, wearable and tolerable than Initio's original.

Overall it's less cloying & more perfume-like
