PrimateI always wonder how people with seemingly ZERO filmmaking experience end up directing feature-length films.
Directing is honestly like the most “vibes” job ever even more than like DJing lol.
Steve McQueen showed up on the set of Hunger not knowing any of the technical specifications of helming an independent feature film, you hear the same stories in regards to so many filmmakers starting out.
What’s more important is whether you’ve proven you have the traits of a leader. confidence, respect, resourcefulness, belief in the final product and dedication throughout all 3 phases of production. And all those things are so relative and can be done in different ways.
