I think it's really a debate over soul, space, and nuance over techinical competence and gradiosity. What do y'all think?
Ofc i prefer the Frank version because it makes me emotional every time, and I think that's because of the quivers of his voice and little nuances like that. I also had a moment in my life shared to the song that I think back on when I hear it.
Franks but Jacob is a literal next level musical genius and his cover and pretty much anything he does blows my mind

I really like to compare Jacob to Dangelo, they both use extensive harmonies of their voice, but Dangelos music just has so much more space and groove. Frank uses harmonization pretty extensivley too
Frank’s makes me wanna cry
classic song regardless
I feel like you can only play Franks version when youre in love. So damn romantic
frank for sure but watch someone come itt and try to discredit collier lmao, that dude is a f***ing madman

Yeah I have mad respect for him, it's just i can't really get into his music. He has a lot to teach people though

yea it’s one of those things where i recognize the talent, it just gets a little too extra for me
i definitely prefer an emphasis on emotion over technicality and skill/showcase
Having 100 different versions of that twink making weird faces humming at me was very discomforting and I gotta give Frank the dub off that alone.
Jacob’s a musical genius but I feel like his ideas are best when he restrains himself instead of going apeshit like with the Moon River cover

Lmao don't blame you
