If you lying to get sales it eventually comes back to bite you. I did it when it was younger

Eventually it starts to gnaw at you. Over years I got better at not doing that. Now I just talk and let people come to their own conclusions. Being a people person and letting customers engage you as they slowly come to their own conclusions makes it easier on the conscience. Am I an advocate for every product I’ve ever sold? F*** no. But I don’t lie and I sleep better at night.

Be personable, dress well, get to know them. Follow the mechanics - good body language, eye contact, ask them about themselves, etc.

Sales is a lot easier when you stop looking at everyone as potential dollar figures and just people. People look to others for guidance and inspo, so be that person. Human behaviour is so complex. I know for a fact some people have bought a product from me just because I was a good person more than they needed it

Its crazy I started this sales job doing cold calls and s*** a month ago, im now getting the most sales everyday on the workfloor, Im out performing guys who have been working there for over 10 years they all see as some kind of sales prodigy LOL

in reality I still dont know s*** about the product and Im pretty sure I break some guidelines here and there but as long I get the sale I dont care but I feel like a complete fraud these guys just wanna keep adding to my responsibilities since im so good apparently and like a idiot I say yes to everything they want me to do but its a good feeling being highly rated for once tbh
