Emotionalposting hours
So, I moved to a new city about a month ago and yesterday the weight of that decision finally hit along with weirdness at work and a number of other personal things, all of which added up and I ended up having the worst panic attack I’ve had in years and was in a physically terrible space as a result for pretty much the entire day. I was really out of it and didn’t even stay up for this drop, one of my most anticipated all year. I was still kind of feeling it this morning and ended up saying f*** it, I need to heal. I called in sick for work, drove to the beach (and I’m a midwestern boy I’m still very much not used to being in driving distance of a beach lmao) and brought my headphones and my dog and ended up walking it for an hour playing this album through. And then I spun it back, and I’ve been spinning it throughout the rest of the day.
S***, I don’t think I’ll ever listen to Danielle, Berwyn, Bleu, Nathan, Kelly, Clara… really the whole album, but especially those tracks the same way ever again. Fred has such a gift for capturing such a wide range of emotions in one song. This was exactly the music I needed to hear right now: empathetic, comforting, and honest about the journey of self-healing no matter the personal experience requiring it. Absolutely love this album and am so grateful to have it now of all times.
Love brudda
I wasn’t sure how to feel after listening yesterday but after sleeping on it, I can’t get enough.
Album is crack my boy. Need more time to digest my full thoughts but
It’s so rare for music to trigger such emotion. Obv been good music last few years but a lot of it has seemed so passive and it’s been forever since I felt like I found soundtrack(s) for my life.
AL1-2 hit me at the perfect time last winter and in a way I feel like 3 is timed perfectly for new changes and people returning in my life in a weird ironic and timely way.
It’s strange how so much of my own personal grief has been a parallel to the way Fred expresses his. I think that’s why I connect so much.
Beautiful

He’s really got a gift for making whatever personal things you’re going through feel heard and seen without going so general that it feels ingenuine. Album really hits all the right feelings

got you fam. lemme know if you ever need more house recs. electronic music/house are probably my fav genres these days with just how creative all the music is. Ross From Friends "Tread" is probably the best electronic album of the last 5-10 years, his other album "Family portrait" is goated too, but more lofi housey
