In a perfect world yes all racial minorities would be holding hands and s*** but it's just not realistic on a large scale.

Now I would be down for trying to dismantle this hatred towards each other we've been preconditioned for but like most people who pedal this s*** nowadays don't know where to start with that.

i agree with a lot of what you said, even though i can’t ever fully understand your perspective

if this ideal scenario genuinely isn’t feasible, how do you suggest going about seeking raparations/fighting the power

even if we’re too fractured and tribalistic to do it it just seems to me like the only alternative is to be crabs in a bucket with each group only looking for their own interests

It's tough to say, because this is a complex topic. To me it's not feasible because people are only talking about the end goal which is solidarity. There is a s***load of work to be done between now and that end goal; problem is nobody wants to get into that. Everything gotta put out on the table, global apologies need to start getting thrown out, bridges need to be mended.

Like the Asian/Black thread, there is a historical track record of conflict and events between these two groups yet people were bickering about the nonsense aspect of it. There were some posters on both sides of the fence talking about what really mattered though.

Nobody is supporting reparations except Black Americans, and even then some folks aren't fully standing by it in the first place. When BAs stand on reparations, refuse to vote for politicians that aren't about it... The ball would get rolling. I don't have an issue with like ethnic pride and tribalism to a fault. I'm pretty glad to not just be black but be a Black American but I can't go for things that are going to put other racial minorities at harm.

You can look out for you own without stepping on the others ya know? I would say my blackness is centered in my politics for sure though. I kinda rambled here and I'm hungry, sorry.

you're right that bias against dark skin is global and has large been exacerbated by the US and it's soft media being popular all over the world, but I also feel that you can say this about many groups to a certain extent...

    like "everyone hates the chinese"

nobodys systemically calling the police on asians

  • FBI obv killed most panthers that were in power, but the fact that they were typically able to pull off such actions by influencing butter biscuit eating ashy inclusive buck tooth negros is what’s truly worth talking about

The down fall of mid 1990s black empowerment and separatism should be remembered as a self-inflicted series of blows, not by that self hating J Edgar Hoover (although he still had to make the calls)
