Off first listen I’m def not feeling this as much as Bandana Piñata and Alfredo. Maybe a lil better than Shadow.

The Offset and Ross feats sounded rly phoned in. Paak track and Grandma’s Stove are elite tho.

I don’t care for it. Not a contender for hip hop album of the year to me or album of the year nor does it have any songs that I’d call one of the “songs of the year”.

Honestly Pusha T and Cheat Codes are the only hip hop albums that I’ve been into this year and even then I’m not overly ecstatic about them. It’s been a mediocre hip hop year.

Though there have been some great songs and albums elsewhere such as The Smile’s song Speech Bubbles and Free In The Knowledge.

Beyoncé’s Album with song of the year contenders like CUFF IT, Alien Superstar, Heated.

I feel like yo really feel this album, you gotta know and understand where Gibbs has came from, been and what’s to go.

Yeah but not if you don’t care for the music and melodies. It doesn’t matter if you understand where Gibbs came from if you’re not into the music and vocals.

    Right.

This album is like every Gibbs album since Midwestmalcom Zipper Bagz sounds like a lost cut from that.

    how is the madlib song?

S*** is like at the end of a Marvel movie credits “Madlib will return in Montana”

    If that makes sense

  • Sep 30, 2022

Also does anyone else think Gibbs took the album into a different direction then he originally planned?

Remember the Simpson / TV 📺 / Video Game themes from the singles?

For me the beats killed the album. I also got bored of the vocals after a few tracks. Though I liked some of the flows here and there overall I won’t listen again.
