This is a major label album so I can definitely understand them not wanting to rely Too Much on samples by bringing “no name” producers to assist the heavyweights on this album, and letting them even man the boards on a couple: There’s a budget to adhere to and labels aren’t gonna always be 100% hands off and always have their own ideas about how this s*** should go. Honestly looking at the track list this is best case scenario for any rapper of Freddie’s stature on a major. If he hadn’t burned bridges with Pharrell’s manager it would’ve been even crazier
