It feels like the beginning of a new stride for Cudi as an artist and my favorite record of his since PP&DS. It just sounds like a real mature evolution of his sound without losing some of the idiosyncrasies that made him fresh and interesting in the first place. And what I find most impressive about it, is his mind state in making it. It shows in the music how much healthier he’s become in both mind and spirit over the past 5 years or so. He sounds like a man whose battled demons and come out of it on the other side with a new found understanding of not only himself as an artist but how life works and the necessary lessons those battles really taught him in his maturation as a man and a human being. He sounds reflective instead of sad and depressed and as someone who has also grown alongside his music pretty much since the beginning, it’s refreshing and hopeful to see. Love this record!

Rappers need to do a press run like how clips did for their album. Do a bunch of interviews and s***. They too scared to do that now or they think they’re above it.
