chicago has had a lot goin on to its history tho. i don’t think larry hoovers leadership a lil less than 50 years ago ripples out to today as much as is placed on him when jojo n chief keef, regardless of what u like/dislike bout their music, were a phenomenon that happened much more recently and whose influence is also pretty apparent

mby hoovers influence is going to be more subtle since music wasn’t like that back then but i think that argument is a lot more speculative n i ain’t rly seen anyone elaborate on it

Them niggas were reckless and poisoning the communities. He’s the founder of one of the biggest gangs. Can’t put the blame on Sosa and other drill rappers cause s*** has been f***ed up since way back then. They were born into it, It’s just easier to put the blame on them. Take the music and social media away, and it’s the same issues. The music and twitter just highlight what they go through to a larger audience. Yeah you right it’s all speculative but nothing show me that he actually changed his ways. He was doing dirt while being locked up and was investigated. He come out he’ll still have influence and power even if the young boas wouldn’t rock with him like that. I feel like there’s better people actually locked up for f*** s*** that should be getting this type of attention. That’s why I f*** with Kim cause she actually care about freeing niggas that deserve it and it ain’t for clout like it is with another someone.

I grew up in public housing and worked my ass off to get out you lil dumbass lool. I have family and friends who have been locked up. You ever made a mistake in your life idiot? You ever had to be on welfare? Eat balogna sandwiches for dinner? No heat in the crib? Cant get a job because of how you look and your trash ass education system you grew up in? When you cant make ends meet you turn into a wolf my g. Theres reasons why Hoovers exist. And trust me. THEY are not THE BAD GUY. go read a book and stop watching vice and no jumper to learn about the streets.

Personally I think hes a gang leader but these gangs are created from poverty and racial alienation. When italians became mobsters, they faced less demonization than niggas do even though they committed more violence at a higher level. More than half of the niggas i grew up with and even some family on that type of time and its for several reasons but again rooted in poverty.
If several mob bosses can get released why cant Larry? Hoover is more of a celebrity than an OG atp and Chicago gangs not even organized like that anymore.

Implying he wasn’t name calling as well but I get it lol. I’m not tapped into mob culture and don’t care about it so I can’t speak on that. But I’m pretty sure the feds came down hard on lots of them as well. Some just snitched iirc. It doesn’t matter if they’re not organized, Larry still got the influence especially with the Gs in our age range and higher. It’s only the young boys that’ll get on that with him. He did too much dirt to be let free theres people that deserve this type of fight but he isn’t one of them. And honestly if Ye never went on this free Hoover run, nobody would even be arguing to have him free.

eh i dont agree bout the jojo/keef thing. bdk isn't just a thing u can take away from the dynamic lol. the whole beginning of that biz was already like 30-40 years removed from when hoover was locked up and was a far cry from what hoover was doin cus it greatly injected the idea of clout into gang killing

& might as well say another someones drake j prince n maybe others are all co-signing this. could be for clout, but there's not enuf info to determine that, n if it is then they're all doin the same too
