You don’t know how criminal justice works. It’s not about the victim, it’s about a violation against the state. The state doesn’t care about the impact of the crime on those victims. They’re irrelevant.
Like I said, if we actually cared about reducing crime and hurt to victims, than we would approach it from a more strategic and efficient angle. This is all just politics.
