You can’t sit there and make a blanket statement of any person not yet convicted of a crime should not be in jail in defense of Thug and then disagree with my point about the Buffalo shooter.

Yes it’s the extreme side of it but it’s a fact. He is not yet convicted. But we know the evidence so we know he’s guilty. We don’t know all the evidence of Thug so you assume he’s not guilty.

if your whole gripe with the situation is that Wayne’s tourbus got shot up, you’re going off misinformation

YSL had beef with Flow, who was on that tourbus & is now in prison on murder charges, not Wayne

headlines just used Wayne’s name since it was his tourbus & made people think YSL tried to kill Wayne

Is VASTLY different than charging someone with being apart of a gang. With no evidence of any violent crimes.

i know you already know how the Prison Industrial Complex functions & keeps those in the lower class, especially if they’re black, in the lower class

but for those reading this who don’t, think of it this way:

1. black men & people with low income get arrested decades ago because of racist policies, leaving behind their kids
2. family has low income due to one parent being incarcerated, the kid feels pressured to make his own money, gang/drug-dealing activities ensue (also, pressure from existing gangs in the neighborhood makes the kid feel like they need to align themselves with a group for protection)
3. low income also means the location they live at is cheaper, meaning less property taxes, meaning less funding for public schools. this combined with the money the kid makes from the streets encourages the kid to drop out of school
4. the kid eventually gets caught & arrested, and when he gets out, he has a criminal record and no education, meaning most jobs won’t hire him, so he returns to street life out of necessity
5. the kid (now more grown up) starts a family, but they’re still trapped in poverty, and next time he gets arrested (since he had to return to street life), he gets tried as an adult & goes away for much longer, leaving the baby fatherless and restarting the cycle

more cops is not the solution to stop the violence. cops do not stop crimes from occurring, cops just punish criminals after crimes have occurred. more cops in the area just agitates the situation & leads to more broken homes. what’s needed is more support & programs to lift people out of poverty so that the pressure to engage in street life becomes obsolete.

my beef is that while there are lots of legitimate gripes about how poor black people get treated by the system, Young Thug and Gunna are not the poster boys for mistreatment by the system

they were / are multi millionaires at the height of their popularity and creative output who chose to do crash dummy s*** (Thug especially)

also they put Wayne in harm's way

the buffalo shooter is guilty tho
there isnt really nothing to argue in that regard, he got caught red-handed iirc

the public doesnt know to what extent these YSL accusations (charges) are true, if true at all

u could've came in here saying:

"they should put the buffalo shooter in solitary confiment too!"

but noooooo u just had to defend inhumane treatment for thug on the basis that he's guilty (despite him not being convicted and us not having acces to any solid evidence) and then bring up some radical racist terrorist to spew some more cop babble

all of that is true on some level, but poll after poll shows that "defund / abolish" is more popular with high education whites than it is with black people and Latinos. and black people / Latinos would actually prefer more police or the same as blacks and Latinos are disproportionately the victims of violent crime (and crime in general)

The Buffalo shooter should be and very likely is in solitary confinement so not sure what your point is?

And he’s not guilty because he hasn’t been to trial yet.

Pretty sure the trial is going to be delayed so it might be years before this goes to trial.
