He also agrees that he personally knows that one or more YSL associates killed Nut on behalf of YSL, and that Thug gave them money to "lay low" in Miami directly after .

He is not allowed to "truthfully assert" that anyone in the trial is not guilty of the murder at any point.

He also identifies 2 addresses that are supposedly places where YSL associates sell d**** and do not let other "gangs" operate.

He also says he has personal knowledge of members of YSL committing RICO crimes to increase the reputation of YSL.

Mounk Tounk says "once upon a time" he was hired as head of security for "YSL the record label" when he went on tours with Thug

Ms. Love is digging into this, asking who signs his pay checks, which companies he worked with, who exactly he worked for, etc.

Sledge said he loves Stillwell, Kendrick and Young Thug and had a personal relationship with all of them.

He also loves Garlington and Copeland.

  • Sep 4, 2024

Sledge said he has heard members of YSL "Slime" and has called members of YSL "Slime."

"It's just a slang word we use towards each other," Sledge said, adding that he also calls random people "Slime."

Sledge testified that he met Young Thug when the rapper was only 16-years-old.

Sledge said he met Shannon Stillwell around 2014-2015.
Sledge said he doesn't have the same relationship with Stillwell since he has been in custody.

Deputy DA Love quickly asked Judge Whitaker to strike that testimony and attorney Max Schardt stood up to ask for a mistrial after Sledge's testimony about Stillwell being in jail.

Sledge said he met Quantavious Grier, Young Thug's brother, in 2019 after they both got out of custody and said they build a relationship.

Sledge said he knows Young Thug personally and has known him for 15 years and met him when he started to go to Cleveland Avenue to play basketball.

"Once I met Jeffery, we had a great relationship," Sledge said about meeting him in 2009.
Sledge said he used to go to a couple of his shows at nightclubs and support Young Thug.

Sledge testified that he would visit Young Thug's home a lot and knows the rapper's parents and had a good relationship.

Sledge, who was outside the courtroom yesterday, he said he spoke to Young Thug's father but did not discuss the YSL case.

  • Sep 4, 2024

Sledge testified that nobody has committed a crime on behalf of YSL that he knows of.

Love is reading directly from the factual acknowledgments of Sledge's plea agreement when asking her specific questions.

Sledge asked to talk to his lawyer, so we are on a break.

lol this trial is falling apart so quickly for the state

  • Sep 5, 2024

Here's what happened after the break

  • Sep 5, 2024

Sledge went over the details of the shooting he previously plead guilty to and agreed to testify about in his most recent plea.

He says only him and Garlington were involved, and it was retaliation for them being beat up in a club.

The state wants to connect the people who beat them up to shell kel but Sledge says it had nothing to do with him.

  • Sep 5, 2024

Sledge says that he “forced himself” to sign the plea bc his mother was sick and he couldn’t afford his lawyer to go to trial.

Love snarkily responds “Couldn’t you afford to have your lawyer correct the plea?”

“That specific day, I was just tryna go home to my sick mother”

  • Sep 5, 2024

Judge at one point had to tell Love (the State) to stop arguing every little thing “unless she wants a mistrial”.

She also “rebuked” Love in front of the jury.

  • Sep 5, 2024

Mounk Tounk says that YSL started as neighborhood gang. He says “Mondo started it but he not on the case”

Now the State is using old social media posts again. Sledge is identifying the people in the picture that he knows.

  • Sep 5, 2024

That was mostly it for the day.

The state said yesterday that Sledge would only be 3 hours. They needed all day today.

Ms Love said she estimates she will need until lunch tomorrow.

Her team whispered to her and she updated her estimate to needing all day tomorrow too.

Prosecutors raised some concerns about their private conversations at the table being heard on the livestream, so Judge Whitaker is asking the media to figure out how to make sure that doesn't happen.

  • Sep 11, 2024

IT informed Judge Whitaker that no private conversations are being picked up by the media stream.

Summary of Young Thug Trial: Day 127

Today was a motions day, with no jury.

    • Defendants’ seats all moved around due to a “security issue” last night in jail

    • Went over admissibility of “co-conspirator” calls. Some were excluded some were allowed, some the state needed more time and will argue in the future.

    • Argued over if Lil Rod’s actual murder conviction is admissible, no ruling today. Judge trying to find a way to correctly limit it to not prejudice everyone else.

    • Argued yesterday’s motion if Lil Rod autopsy photos can be added. State said they will limit it to only 3 photos that they will show the defense. No final ruling.

    • Argued about an instagram livestream from Big Bhris, where he is wearing “ysl clothing” days before his armed robbery. Judge keeping it in.

    • State still hasn’t provided law about if someone can be found guilty if the only thing the jury finds them guilty of is outside the statute of limitations / outside the indictment .
