Backed by a big name rapper and label, had a mixtape run before dropping his debut, sold plenty of records with hits, sold out arenas including MSG, has a strong core fanbase, and represents the middle child(no pun) of the Big 3.

Other rappers had big hits or decent core fanbases but they didn't reach Cole's level of consistently staying hot, going Platinum with no streams counted, having decent bars/lyricism/skills, selling out arenas, and being able to compete with Kendrick and Drake on certain levels. Future, for instance, has been carried by Drake chart wise for years and his tours have flopped many times. And Travis has literally no lyrical value although his production and adlibs are godly.
