I've seen people on Twitter say MJ was a trend chaser and washed up after Thriller cuz he went the new jack swing route even though he had like 7 or 8 more #1s, and BAD even went diamond
There's nothing he or anyone could've done that was topping thriller, but that didn't mean he didn't have any more creative juice in the tank. Especially if you listened to Dangerous. He had a lot more he wanted to say and do. How could someone who gave us Remember the Time, Will You Be There, Give In To Me, etc. be "washed"?

exactly. I really don't get those takes. But I will say, it happened to MJ so it happens to everyone else. I'm already seeing people say Beyonce is washed cuz she can't get big hits by herself anymore
