when you listen to after hours and then trilogy or kiss land you can really feel how grand in scope but ultimately boring and half baked the latter two are

Reasonable Doubt - the album that put him on the map, proved Jay was a force to be reckoned with - was released seven months before Big died, and Vol 1 was being made when Big was alive
