Eh not always but I will say if they succeed with what they’re trying to do during training they will give you a toxic mindset.
There’s a reason unemployment for vets is so high and it’s not just PTSD. They teach you to work hard but not smart, no type of money management skills, and not to take breaks. That mindset works great for soldiers but in the real world you get burnt tf out

Just had a lot of friends join the military after HS and saw them go through these changes. It can def be positive through the GI bill tho
At the small price of at least forcefully indoctrinating you, at most death or serious injury
