People think it’s via the lyrical homage to pop bottles so using his YMCMB connects to send the C&D
Radio can play anything legally available online. They cannot send radio a C&D to something that’s available on Spotify or Apple Music lmao.
If they were photoshopping a C&D email for the song to streaming services or something it would’ve been more believable.
this just makes drake look like a boss tbh lmao
Pussier than getting world star and other channels to delete adidonis

But wouldn’t radio stations have to get a direct license from the owners of the copyright which extends as well to those sampled?
Anyone know anything about the names mentioned?
"Corey Williams" and "Bekah"
Corey Williams is VP, Business and Legal Affairs, Rights & Clearances for Republic Records, Def Jam Recordings and Island Records

They get the licensing from Performance Rights Organizations. Any artist that's signed with labels is signed to a major organization that basically is tied to the industry/labels also and immediately distributes rights to radio once the song is released everywhere.
Once a song is even officially released to begin with, its because the performance rights organization sorted everything legally as far as samples, clearances, etc.
If they never sorted it then the song would've never made it to Spotify, Apple, etc.
The only time recently where music was taken down after release is Kanye's messy ass Vultures rollout and that's because him not having his s*** in line with distributors and etc to actually have everything legally greenlit before release.
Future & Metro wouldn't have ever had that song out if it ain't get approval from all necessary parties to begin with. I don't think Drake really has any power to dictate anything with the release, nor does he actually care enough to be stopping that song from being heard lmao. If he wanted it to go away he wouldn't have responded to it either.

But I thought that organization only covers streaming? And like I’m saying, yes they may get rights, but I don’t think it’s just cut and dry immediately. They would still have to get approval again from everyone involved in the copyright if, let’s say, the C&D was sent in the time it took to send the song to radio, at least according to what I read lol.
I’m not arguing btw, just tryna understand fully. You seem to know your s*** though
B**** s*** 100% if true
Doesn't really matter though because Like That is the most successful song of the whole saga by a wide margin

Could the guy who cleared the sample in the beat be saying he doesn’t want it on radio because he didn’t know about the diss

was lurking, made an account just to comment. its ridiculous that they can do this s***. even if its not legally binding, to try and use it as a scare tactic is so corporate and the furthest thing from hip hop.
This proves that drake is not only talentless, he's also a b****
probably the worst man to ever be sucessful in the music industry
Corporate industry puppet lmfaoooooo that lyric surprised me cause he always been moving just like one
