One thing I love about the end of the year is year end lists and nowadays Spotify wrapped. These things can be a major source of dope new music.

On Spotify wrapped day I was busy adding all kinds of s*** but this really stuck out, Danny Brown’s.

I had already been bumping Nia Archives pretty heavily and the Bobby Lees as well, so I was excited to check out Frost Children

They dropped 2 amazing LPs this year and one last year, all fire. Between the albums I heard like 5-6 genres

This s*** here sounds like some 2000s indy I used to dig, like maybe Minus The Bear or some s***.

Some songs or albums its hyper pop, 100 Gecs, maybe some regular pop, maybe dancier EDM. Also on Hearth there are screamo backing vocals for parts of songs, just so many sounds going on

I met them in Boston when they opened for Midwxst. Super chill knowledgeable and funny people.

When I saw them live they treated “speed run frost children” and “hearth room frost children” as 2 separate bands, had a whole running joke where they were opening for themselves, had an intermission and wardrobe changes. Played for over 3 hours and absolutely killed it, such a good show
