soon as the kicked out the brother who spit the most bars is when the fell off
Kicked a nigga out for “gaslighting his girlfriend “
You can’t win with a fan base like the one they had they too sensitive
its amazing guys like them and chance just fizzled away but in a few seconds some new artist will get all the critical acclaim for redoing ye frank type s*** lol
Timing and circumstance so fascinatinng
I never saw the hype tbh. Plus everytime someone told me they listened to them they were a certain look lol
I wish they were more of a collective than a rap group ngl the boyband marketing was a bad move for longevity purposes. It changed thieeir lives though so
First introduction to them was HEAT and I was hooked. Put all my friends onto it and they blew up not long after. Shame how it all panned out for them
they kicked out ameer and signed to rca within months. not saying signing immediately revokes your diy card but the coincidence of those two things just felt like the fizzling of their mystique... they truly made it now and yep, theyre still making arty rap about therapy with screams and weird beats. and the best rapper is gone.
saturation trilogy was dope tho
iridescence (or however you spell it) was their best album
I don’t think it’s their best but it definitely had some top tier production
Tonya is lowkey a Ye level song
My favorite rap group yes their later albums progressively got worse but they were amazing and i wish the 1990s album got released cause every one of those songs were beautiful
Only thing that sucks coming off their breakup is how Bearface isn't active no more. Arguably the most potential for a pop star out the whole group besides Matt and Kevin.
He was amazing man why he just dissapear like that
Saturation trilogy was great. They def fell off after but that trilogy will always be special

real one detected
i genuinely wonder what them boys are up to now. especially some of the behind the scenes dudes that weren't recording members of the group.

yeah wtf happened to him. his music was always a little disconnected from the group anyway so its weird he couldnt keep going
Saturation trilogy will always be special to me.
I was still in my early 20s, university days. Just started going out with my then gf, now wife.
I remember that summer almost every time I went jogging or working out, I had the trilogy playing.
Every summer night drive, they were on the speakers.
They really soundtracked that whole '17 summer for me.
Special albums, and for me - classics.
I'm not so keen on the rest of their discography, Iridescence and Roadrunner are cool and I still bump those rarely, but the trilogy will always remain amazing to me.

hate the cook not the recipe
i was 'obsessed' with brockhampton probably a grand total of two weeks plus when iridescence came out. the group itself could pull their weight together and did so for several albums, but i moreso think about the fact that we just dont be getting these kinds of 'youth groups' that genuinely brew and blow up from behind the scenes anymore. theyre not young but i feel that way about griselda too. these days we just dont get anyone lol. theres a bunch of people from the 10s, doechii, and whatever new alphonse core dude thats popping up every two weeks
