For years now they have had false certifications that can not be justified nor backed up with any reputable data.

Conveniently, this has always been in specific times in Michael Jackson’s career to dethrone Thriller. Notably in 2000 when Michael was artist of the millennium and for his diamond anniversary in 2018.

The media run with the story every time that this Greatest Hits package is the “biggest selling album of all time” dethroning Michael. Convenient timing? I think not. The same way Finaldi (Robson and Safechuck’s lawyer, will sell stories to the press around Michael’s birthday, and the date of his death).

Thriller consistently sells well, charts high every October and is a strong (top 5) charting Vinyl record. The same can not be said for The Greatest Hits package.

and i dont think youtube especially means anything for this, Thriller is a lot more popular worldwide than eagles and im sure a ton of those numbers come from non-US fans, where almost all of the Eagles numbers are probably from US
