Back in 2011 he shared lossy mp3s of about 128kbps~192kbps (HOB and Thursday) and at most 320kbps audio quality (EOS).

In other words, below the industry standard, (CDs for which you and I pay money have to be at least LOSSLESS quality, and 1411kbps, (at least 4x the quality offered of EOS, and 11x of the HOB/Thursday free downloads) (Ps. the latter part (11x) might be a bit too much calculation, and digits aren't everything there is to look for, but the point remains, they would be superior in audio quality, and richer in content, the minimum LOSSLESS file beats the crap out of the highest LOSSY file every day of the week and twice on thursday)

In essence, this happening in 2011 was understandable, (him sharing inferior audio files) cause he won't release the original, high quality files for free, files he poured his heart and soul to record.

But now, 10 years later, now that he made it big, that he cleared the samples, and that can freely release the tracks in their full dynamics what does he decide to do? Lazily reupload the same exact LOSSY files he shared in mp3 back in 2011.
One word to describe this f***ery: incompetence.

Thus said, f*** anybody involved in this poorly managed 10th anniversary, I stumbled upon this in a russian forum, here are the 3 mixtapes in their original form from 2011, untouched audio wise, only with metadata added, such as lyrics, artwork and mixtape tags, in a nice way for everybody to enjoy. XO till we overdose

What is this? 2003 with s***ty internet connection to share 128kbit audio files? even in 2003 commercially available CDs fulfilled the minimum industry standard above mentioned. What they did for the 10th anniv is bullshit!

Im not justifying anything i want the super high files too,but the point of the og re-release was for him to put the og raw mix on streaming

honestly, I preferred the low quality og versions and was disappointed in seeing the creative differences on Echoes Of Silence

Even Frank who burnt the bridges with Def Jam in 2016 with Endless, the last album with them, managed to find a way to drop the CD with full dynamics in 2018. I don't believe Abel had to jump through so many hoops for him to only drop those sorry mp3 quality files for the 10th anniv.
