context for people who dont regularly follow members of fugazi:

2/4 people from fugazi are currently playing in an active music project with an album that came out this year. theyre constantly touring, theyre constantly together. guy picciotto is in new york, he lives there. apart from him the rest of the band lives in DC and they are constantly in touch. both ian and brendan talk about hanging out on the regular with their families, going to concerts, bars, AND ALSO PLAYING TOGETHER FROM TIME TO TIME. brendan talks about a 'lingering' possibility of a reunion whenever someone asks him about it; theres a recent half-hour semi-doc about him where he says the same exact thing. ian i think is less vague he just says it wont happen because basically its impossible to get everyone together. if you saw the touring schedule for the messthetics (the band that i mentioned earlier) in 2025 you know they start off the year touring. they wont be doing fugazi next year.
