I really enjoyed this album on release but over the months this has genuinely become one of my favorite Wayne albums and definitely my favorite Wayne project since C4. He has a masterful, focused grip on all his styles on here and as someone who hates unnecessarily long albums I have a really hard time cutting off even 2-3 tracks off this. Wayne’s strength, creativity, and talent is in full display all over the project and I feel like I’m listening to a different album than mostly everyone else.

He said he actually went into the studio with intent to create and see what he could come up with instead of just hopping in the booth and it clearly shows to me. I love the sound and styles of this album a lot and it really feels like the best of his rapping over the best tracks off tapes like D6/reloaded combined with the creativity and energy he showed in spots on FWA & SFTW2. I think the huge tracklist and kinda weird sequencing had people lukewarm to this project but I really love it and think it’s worth revisiting and sitting with. I realized I’m biased as a longtime Wayne stan but after a half mid half gold all over the place C5 and mixtapes with gems loaded with filler and bad features this feels like a serious step forward for him as an artist.
