Definitely see similarities in those projects. They’re by the same artist and 3 are very heavy with one producer.

    Well there u go,

now compare that to drake, cole, kendrick projects, all by the same artist, use a lot of the same producers especially cole.

S*** even thug's project are less formulaic than future

    HNDRXX is generic?

HNDRXX is tiller production + young thug crooning it doesn’t do anything for me

OR off the same album. The unique masterpiece Feds Did A Sweep

it’s a great f***ing song but it doesn’t excuse 20 other songs on the album that i still can’t tell apart three years later

I’d say only Kendrick has albums that sound super different from each other

No role modelz could’ve been on born sinner 6 years earlier.

KOD could’ve been on sideline story. Talk about formulaic.

For drake: Redemption could’ve been on take care

One dance could’ve been on more life.

Could do this with most artists.

For future: shotgun couldn’t have been on DS2. Lay up couldn’t have been on 56 Nights. And Fresh Air couldn’t have been on any album not named HNDRXX

That’s a crazy opinion considering it’s Future’s best and most intimate project imo

Looking Exotic and Use Me are some of my favorite future songs but you can’t tell me that if Young Thug sang that whole ass album it’d sound as groundbreaking as future fans think it is

that can’t the basis of your guys’ claim that this is something groundbreaking in the landscape of hiphop sure future as an artist did something kinda new making a whole R&B-ish album but he always had R&B cuts in his career but if your argument for it being a generally special project is the fact that it’s special for Future then it makes no sense

BTG has a lot more acoustic emphasis than HNDRXX’s Trap&B styling of course they’d sound different but if you go allll the way back to MetroThuggin sessions you can hear a bunch of the same vocal filtering, melodies, inflections etc that Future used on HNDRXX

also Future brings back things he’d always done in his music for the album it’s not like it’s new (One Helluva Night -> Turn On Me)

Bro ur nitpicking like crazy and it's even crazier that u said examples for drake, kendrick, and cole and proceed not to say any for future when hes the biggest offender

u can deadass put songs from DS2, EVOL, FUTURE, WATTBA, WZRD, HOL on shuffle for a casual and ask them to sort those songs and they would have such a tough time compared to drake, kendrick or cole

  • Jun 11, 2020

Crazy he got songs from the early 10s going platinum now, thats timeless music

You can do that for future!!

And I think you’re giving casuals too much credit haha

No I know they would have trouble doing the same for the other 3 but it would legit be the highest difficulty doing that for future

As I showed you with the other artists, it would depend on what you picked. We can end on agreeing Kenny is the one with the least formulaic approach
