Apr 12, 2024SlimeySpiderI feel like your issue with these new metro and future songs is that metro is doing too much to put his beats at the forefront of the each song
We're used to Future on more simplistic hard beats (even old metro beats) where Future's voice is half the instrumentation of the song and his energy takes the precedence
I'm don't think these albums aren't great, but I can understand why you're feeling disappointed as a Future stan
Yeah;
1. I'm used to Future and the beat taking the same amount of real estate
2. The beats here aren't good enough to take the forefront, imo
It doesn't help that Future is rapping like ABC123 instead of actually flowing
Someone described the album as sounding posthumous and I think that nails it
