He trying to say he made the 2ndbest album of the past 2/3 years, after DAMN.
Because DAMN is the second best album of the decade, after TPAB, objectively. It's also, the 2nd highest rated rap album ever, after TPAB.
you may not like it, subjectively, but there's nothing better, objectively.
I'm glad you enjoy another album more than damn, but just know this album is nowhere near as good and flawless as DAMN.

matter of fact, it's also the best album of the decade according to most legends and end decade lists

also everybody with musical knowledge will tell you the 2nd best album of the decade is far behind TPAB. That gives you an indication of how flawless tpab really is. Like Herbie Hancock said, you can argue it's top 5 all time, IN ANY GENRE.
Objectively, as a former professional music producer, I'd agree with the consensus (among music lovers) that gkmc is his worst album.
Kinda glad tpab is the highest rated hip hop album in history, because nothing really can compete with it, from a pure quality angle. You might enjoy other albums more, thats your subjective tastes, but none of the album you "prefer" are better than tpab.
