Watching Eternals and Stranger Things made me remember this show exists
One of the biggest fumbles in TV history
Y’all always gotta keep in mind that the ending may have sucked but GRRM played tf out of them by never dropping Winds.
Obviously the plan was to go by the books to the end. Ain’t no excuse to just not drop a book like that
Obviously they could have done better but they did get finessed in ways

This is a half truth
The other half is that D&D started rubbing GRRM the wrong way to the point where GRRM didn’t want to work with them in the final seasons.
D&D also started getting tired of working on Game of Thrones and wanted to finish it as soon as possible so they could work on Star Wars.
Yes GRRM is a lazy f*** for not finishing his books, but D&D also started to mishandle the project towards the end.
Now that D&D isnt handling Fire & Blood GRRM had a huge hand in helping with this new show coming out in August.

yea, its one of the best shows ever made until season 5 which is when they started diverging more significantly from the books. Everything through end of season 4 is basically the first 3 books with not that much changed. Everything after is extremely different, and after season 5 its basically all made up for TV
the quality change in the writing and character development is drastic and obvious. i don't know who to blame, but yea GRMM not finishing winds f***ed them for sure

You’re not wrong but the fact still remains that if the book was out they have that to go off for the final season regardless of what you stated
I’m salty he hasn’t released Winds yet let me just blame him lmao

True, I just as salty about the show runners too is all I’m saying
the mistake was adapting the series before the books where finished.
also, with all those characters, it would have worked more as animation

the problem with george is that he corners himself in the main series so whenever this happens he starts writing/working on other projects as coping mechanism to the writer's block.
I expect Winds this or next year, if it's not comin I don't know what to say
