In trying to figure out where to stop that post, I kept leading to more and more aspects I would’ve liked explained lmao
I see why GRRM said they would’ve needed 10 full seasons to do that back half justice. I gotta give them props for even being able to do well with the first half of the series’s material
Watching the first 5-6 seasons with the rest of the world outside of any streaming services and with the quality of the show during those seasons will never be repeated.
Besides The Sopranos, that will forever be my favorite TV experience.
Seeing everyone's takes and reactions immediately after Blackwater, Red Wedding, Oberyn's death, etc. was simply amazing.
the red wedding actually made my jaw drop when i saw it

same, i haven't read the books and spoilers were a lot easier to avoid back then tbh
it was amazing
Right, I don’t mean acknowledging their relationship from the perspective of how it affects the throne. I mean literally contemplating her brother who’s the guy’s father. I guess I just feel like there’s content to be had in having her show a little compassion or yearning for that brother she never really knew, and you can even use this chance to try to assign Rhaegar as being a decent dude, so you as the viewer feel like theres a smidgen of decency in the Targ line by the last episode
I realize this is all mad headcanon-y, but it just felt weird to me that Lyanna and esp Rhaegar really have no value as characters, but are moreso just a plot device for the Aegon storyline. Apparently there’s some book stuff with him and Robert that doesn’t fit within the show’s timeline, maybe that could’ve been used to flesh him out? It’s really the reduction in episodes in S7-S8 and the resulting simplification that I think makes none of this possible
Idk I’m not really seeing what there is for her to contemplate in that regard? Her brother had a child out of wedlock, so what? Jon didn’t know either of his parents so there is nothing she can ask him about them. Everybody that knew them is dead.
I would’ve liked for her to have met with Aerys? The Targaryen that was on The Wall in Castle Black.
just started the show for the first time episode one was really cool i’m excited for more but man since when did hbo max have ads and it’s legit like every 10 minutes ill get a minute of ads

i’m assuming it’s new during shows
when i’ve watched movies recently i’ll get one at the beginning but that’s it
but man like it goes from a serious scene to a wayfair commercial that’s like super loud completely takes me out
