I had a deep conversation with a co-worker about this a few years ago, and he agreed on the basis that the entire "souls-like" genre is ass with cheap A.I tactics to justify "difficulty"

Wiggler-Super Mario Odyssey is one of the most emotionally moving video games ever. Sadness isn't the only emotion and Odyssey made me smile so hard that my cheeks hurt.

There hasnt been a truly ground breaking game in over a decade

The AI is literally meant to be read after you learn their moves so while I can understand thinking dark souls sucks this definitely can't be the argument.

Cheap AI tactics like what? Every move the enemies makes is telegraphed, it's up to you to decide how to react

Not sure how much of a hot take this is but GoldenEye has aged pretty poorly. Really not that fun to go back and play, mostly bc of the controls

MG5 could have been groundbreaking if Konami let Kojima finish the game at his pace. Fox Engine is insane, imagine it he had more time to refine the gameplay even more and finish the script and development for the story

Uncharted 4 could have been a classic but completely falls off at the 3rd act. Jungle parts were very tedious, went on for too long, and the game could have used more unique action scenes like the Bell Tower part and the car chase. Still a very good game tho.
