DJ Premier been killing the 2010’s low key tbh
he been killing the last 3 decades

Obviously, but people associate him with the 90’s, hence the low key 10’s statement. I’ve got a playlist of 45 tracks of his 10’s production and it’s epic
A few moments where Guru's vocals weren't matching up with the production that well and I really hate when guest appearances on posthumous albums acknowledge the deceased individual is no longer alive. Takes me out of the experience and makes it feel like a copy/paste effort rather than a real collaborative feel (which of course it isn't but still why make it obvious). That being said the album is surprisingly dope and there's quite a few tracks I can see myself going back to.
Album is really dope. Premo really did the best he could do with it. The features are really well picked. Was a good decision to bring back guys Guru really f***ed with when he was alive like Group Home, Jeru, M.O.P., Shug & Bumpy Knuckes. I totally forgot about Nitty Scott, she's dope af and killed her verse imo. I could've done without Ne-Yo but his feature wasnt as out of place as I thought it would be.
I liked every song on here, my favorite probably remains Family and Loyalty.

Avi too real tbh
Really enjoyed this album except for that NeYo feature. 🤦♂️
Definitely keeping this in the rotation.

I actually like those moments. Thought Royce's in particular added to it

Royce killed it and I generally like the line about Guru's ashes being in the studio with them or w/e but it also reminds you this was thrown together and not a collaboration that happened naturally.

But it’s not like it’s random producers for a cash grab, if anyone knows what to do with a guru verse it’s primo. The album is damn near flawless ne-yo track aside. And with the exception of that track and the Cole verse pretty much all the features are gang Starr associated acts, the whole thing is about as organic as it can be under the circumstances
I really like everything about Get Together except the Ne-Yo feature. It's a real shame he's on it haha
Beat and verse from Nitty are nice

I completely agree there...considering the circumstances it turned out really well
this is really good
