This is a yikes you assuming they can’t pivot more to online sales long term

im not saying they can't, it just doesnt seem like an investment worth my time to f*** around with. I might buy a handful of shares and just see what happens but its not really that enticing. would rather put that money in mutual funds or index funds over the long term- buy and hold.

I think they just took on over $2B in debt earlier this year. the kanye deal is their hail mary to save the company and brand to a new generation. They should ditch the gap and rebrand everything under banana republic imho.

Banana Republic is their fastest shrinking brand they might discontinue it entirely eventually.

alright well the rest of my points stand, none of which you responded to lol. that was just me personally, I like banana republic better and see more value in it. didn't know they were shrinking fastest.

Bc its a dying brand (Just like Gap but worst) I actually did a lot of researching into the company I’m not just going off emotion

& I don’t really think assuming a brick and mortar brand can’t pivot to online is a valid argument especially with the Yeezy effect bringing crazy online traffic

There’s plenty of reasons to not want to invest I just don’t think what you said was valid.

Just my opinion we can disagree tho

I never said they couldn’t pivot. Yeah I think we’re just gonna disagree here. I have a a different investment strategy in general which doesn’t involve trading many individual stocks. I think that’s my bottom line.

What I’ve been doing works and has amassed me a great deal of retirement income for the future. Just trying to point out that the yeezy effect cannot save a company by itself. Best of luck to ye and Gap though, would love to be proven wrong

I only bought two for the lulz, but if the brand can't pivot hard enough to online and have the yeezy brand revitalize it then it's game over. Debt is piling on too

Idk if this is a home run investment at $15

    Upside now 2-4x bull case..

Looked way more appealing at $10-$12

Market getting really really bubbly anyways so imma just hope this comes back down so I can put more into it

    Q2 earnings call on 08/27

Could be a perfect opportunity to get in again cause it’ll most likely fall on bad Q2 report

  • Aug 18, 2020

gonna invest $1 and sell it when it rises to $1000000

Easiest way to start in like 5 minutes is just download cash app they allow you to invest

Then a level above that is Webull, M1 Finance or Robinhood which are brokerage apps

Mm I would just say figure out what type of investing you want to do between value investing, high growth, dividend stocks or just index/etf and learn how to read a balance sheet/earnings report & tbh stay away from swing trading taxes are just gonna eat those “gains”

He is working on this hard too. Look at the Ross X Yeezy pic. Imo it was deffo an educated guess from a Kanye forum to buy stocks in this over some random company
