Need to start increasing my output. I've been wanting to start using brushes for a long time, and this was just some practice with that.
This is the first piece of miscellaneous work since I’ve started working on my comic, and man is it refreshing to just get back to something else.
So... I once got some feedback that my subject matter and composition are very poor, with the only merit being some technical skill - and I see it now, after reviewing my gallery. It's mostly just random "stuff" with little to no sense of planning/coordination, and void of any charisma.
I often burden myself with the pursuit of "originality" in the aforementioned areas by trying things that just haven't worked, so I'm going back to basics with traditional approaches, starting here. "Technical skill" can't compensate for charisma, and there's no success without that.
Starting with drawing a pretty girl.
