The way I see it is you can have sympathy without picking sides. I'm sympathetic to the victims on both sides. But I can't say I empathize with them because I don't. I don't know what it's like to be Palestinian or isreali. So I can't really say I have any ulterior motives here I just think we should be clear about the circumstances

TLDR Hamas is a terror organization that wants to exterminate Jews from Israel they just carried out an unprovoked attack last Saturday that killed men, women, and children and the elderly and disabled
