Netanyahu: Israel will not agree to ceasefire in Gaza, adding 'this is a time for war'
Benjamin Netanyahu is speaking now at a briefing, where he describes the Hamas attack on Israel on 7 October as a “turning point” for leaders and nations.

The Israeli prime minister, speaking in English, says it is time “to decide if we are willing to fight for a future of hope and promise, or surrender to tyranny and terror”.

Israel “did not start this war” but it will win this war, he says. “Israel will stand against the forces of barbarism until victory,” he says.

He says he wants to make clear Israel’s position regarding a ceasefire in Gaza:

“Just as the United States would not agree to a ceasefire after the bombing of Pearl Harbor or after the terrorist attack of 911, Israel will not agree to a cessation of hostilities with Hamas after the horrific attacks of October 7. Calls for a ceasefire are a call for Israel to surrender to Hamas, to surrender to terrorism, to surrender to barbarism. That will not happen.
The Bible says that there is a time for peace and a time for war. This is a time for war.”

also nice to know that people who vehemently oppose the existence of a jewish state are the arbiters of what constitutes antisemitism. seems pretty convenient that jews are the only ethnic group that's not allowed to define what is and isn't anti-jewish rhetoric. you guys love to act like this s*** doesn't have consequences. it does. i have multiple friends in the US who have been the victims of antisemitic hate crimes in this past month. but we're just going to act like it's not a real thing and that it's being weaponized by zionists or whatever. keep denying the fact that jews are historically persecuted and prone to further persecution and violence from majority groups. keep denying the fact that it's a slippery f***ing slope. keep telling yourself that jews shouldn't conflate antizionism with antisemitism as you share posts accusing the white house of being controlled by jews. just going through the last 4 pages of this thread i swear i've never seen a bigger group of dumbasses who think that they're unequivocally correct geniuses. i'll see myself out now. you f***ing idiots.
