they can be degrees of true simultaneously but you just saying that in like reply one of the thread is kinda od. we should observe why one message is more privileged than the other, or why people are resistant to even look. there are real men hating feminists out there. believe me i've seen them. but i'm not going to sit here & pretend they in anyway out number the alpha male wannabees who made them that way in the first place.

I’m not saying they’re equal but you have to look at what the mainstream casual thinks of when they think of the modern left. You got people like Hassan, people accusing you of having toxic masculinity, etc.

No teenage Gen Zer is gonna wanna identify with that type of s***.

He has effect. Never said he didn't. But what OP is presenting is due to more than just Tate. That's my point. There are alot of individuals who bear the blame not just one single man

the implication that he was saying it for clout is ridiculous, no one knows that nigga. but i agree with you when he said he could have given a more depthful answer. a lot of people could do that itt

what they think of the modern left is all distorted projections from the right-minded influencers in the sphere. add in capitalism via the algorithm & engagement metrics & here we are. people being shown that sneako bagging on the woke mob or fresh & fit trying to own some onlyfans model or adam22 platforming neo-nazis for "Debate".

teenagers & their unformed selves are going to latch on to what they're shown. what's around them, what appeals to them more. what can be sold as an answer. that's the culture war. & there are think tanks with money slipping funding to entities to make this happen. it's not because the left is inherently bad or hasan likes jpegmafia or that denims doesn't have an OF

I see both man hating feminists and alpha male wannabes. I think it’s hard to say who there’s more of. And I think excusing misandry by saying that it’s based on something men started is reductive bullshit, and part of the exact problem we’re discussing.

I don’t think the left is inherently bad. I’m more towards the left myself.

I just don’t see how you can look at the modern left and be surprised when men don’t wanna identify with it.

saying that male-oriented ontologies & influences that privledge their power have stunted men & mutilated women isn't excusing misandry. I think it's ridiculous that men want women to be level-headed when, you know Diddy exists or Vince McMahon exists or Weinstein exists or Larry Nassar exists or....I can really keep going.

patriarchy is real. man hating feminists, some of them have lost the plot, but many feminists really do hate patriarchy, the structure, they system. at a certain point, many realize that capitalism is th e problem. & when men come into relationality with them, who have little to no self awareness about how they'v ebeen raised to be or their habits go on to clumsily hurt them because they want them to be trad or to be hypersexual (because they're addicted to p***) or to stop being so career minded because it makes them feel bad about where they are in life, yeah, that criticality is gonna come out. it's ridiculous to think the planes are equal in any way when the wage gap still exists, & in many US states, women can't legally abort -- which would mean they don't have autonomy over their bodies? which is what I'm talking about. yeah, you're going to have the hyperradicals who say all men should die. which is also delusional

I think we should want people to be level-headed, yes. I’ve grown to not like patriarchy as a term. I think people use patriarchy as this all-encompassing catch-all blanket whenever they want to talk about gender roles. I don’t like gender roles. I also don’t think you can make patriarchy synonymous with gender roles and the root of all that’s wrong with gender and not have people get frustrated that we have a gendered term for that. I hear people say things like “gender norms are constructed for the ultimate benefit of men” and it just feels so incredibly lacking in nuance. I think men and women exist in a sociological teeter totter, and constantly framing men as benefiting from everything is entirely counterproductive.

Because a lot of that looksmaxxing hogwash is steeped in eugenics / phrenology

Also I don't think libs are really dropping hard rs and the r word as often as they do on that forum

I agree. Seen many men on the left go from that to alt right as f*** over the past decade, and it all stems from libs going too hard at boys

To be a real man you need to be a full commie

  • TheInstigator

I'd say the right atleast still expects men to put in work and become better versions of themselves. The left tells men to just roll over and kiss women's feet

    You’re right

Who are some positive male influencers on both the left and the right?

  • Trash Star

well most gen z are getting their politics from content creators and the largest male content creators tend to either be conservative (kick was literally created for these types and they are the title sponsor of a f1 team now) or "apolitical" in a way that leads to their communities having a right wing swing. both of these groups are gonna have an overwhelming male viewership

whereas the largest female content creators tend to be liberal, 4th wave feminist types and the "apolitical" ones have some amount of moderation that prevents their communities from becoming right wing. the people watching them are more likely to be other women, men with similar views or men who want to simp

also leftist content is f***ing boring. if i was 16 and had to choose between watching adin ross hang out with yeat and react to based tiktoks or hasan watching joe rogan clips with a disinterested onlyfans model behind him, i know which one i'm choosing

I wouldn't choose either fam, if these are my choices the internet is a wasteland frfr

Who are some positive male influencers on both the left and the right?

  • There was a poll from the last election here in Sweden which showed the parties that Swedish men and women voted for and the result was the same in the OP. Swedish women voted way more for left-leaning parties while the men voted for the parties that were more to the right. My explanation? Men and women are different and prioritize different things.

  • Free YoungBoy

Nobody on the left is trying to help young men better themselves. All they do is condescend to them and tear them down.
