    Its disgusting how they try to make it seem like hip hop has no soul and its just “rhyming” and “beats”. Kind of along the line of what post malone said about hip hop when he was drunk

    They have this take because they don’t really listen to the genre. Like the audacity of these white men to say a genre like hip hop who is influenced by Black soul at its core doesn’t have any soul is crazy.

    The hip hop moguls should come together to establish a legitimate hip-hop Hall of Fame. Like a full museum with memorabilia like MF Doom‘s mask, Nas’s handwritten lyrics, Kanye’s legendary fits and Yeezy sample designs, Dilla’s MPC, a whole exhibit on record label chains and iconic jewelry. If done right it could be a huge attraction

    It exists but I don’t know how much it’s been invested in by hip hop itself. Felt like the 50th and was the perfect time to really see some energy out behind and money

    Sam Cooke, James Brown & Ray Charles were 3/10 inductees in the very first class

    Marvin Gaye, Arethra Franklin & Smokey Robinson were in the 2nd class

    The Supremes were in the 3rd class

    Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder & The Temptations were in the 4th class

    I could go on, every single year since it's inception there have been non rock performers inducted
