I can say that a lot of brown kids resonate with Drake on multiple layers,

my fellow brown men come a lot from broken/toxic families and embrace romance and longing..

a lot of them are away from home and just existentially wandering through the world as they might feel displaced or trying to find who they really are..

The music gave them confidence and can see themselves in a vulnerable drake,

Also Drake is home of the most multicultural cities in the world, having many connections with brown people and/or Muslim people too.

South Asians can be a very unified group (when they can be) and especially the ones that grew up with drake
