i played through beta comfortably with the natural progression of getting the characters. there's no real need to buy them unless you really like their look and play style or impatient

For a gacha game I’m really impressed

Game seems fun but I'd be damned to get wrapped up in the gachahell again. Not because of spending or whatever, but because there's always a chokepoint in gacha games that separate the whale from the chaff and I don't want to be there if and when Genshin inevitably gets to it.

no problem, the loot boxes in this game aren't even necessary like that tho unless you want a certain character but what you get in game already is enough to play through it

the more I play this the more I like it, combat/movement reminds me a lot of nier automata

The fps & input lag on the PS4/PC version are absurd, has potential, but Ima have uninstall for now.

I’ve been playing for a few dozen hours and only started exploring Liyue last night. Even as someone susceptible to the gacha business model’s predatory tactics, I’ve felt no desire to buy anything in this game. Treat it like the RPG that it is instead of rushing for endgame content and you get a beautiful, engrossing experience with a surprising amount of depth.
