Movie was alright, had some cool shots.
I really really liked the monologue about wars. That was fire.

This isn’t good for movie theaters…. But hopefully the movie ends up being profitable in the long run

I was going to say it’s technically profitable.. but if they had just stuck that money in the S&P 500 it would’ve returned like 5x the movie 😂
This got some Asterix & Obelix ass CGI
could've been a 10/10 if they just cut down on the s*** CGI. Way too distracting for large parts of the film

A large portion of this movie was funded by the Australian government. It's a cultural export.
For example, at the cost of the yearly US aid to Israel, you could make 22 Furiosas. Instead we make 100k+ dead bodies
There might even be relevant themes in Furiosa about that!

Thank god
let's get this next mad mad rolling

The early word of this being the Speed Racer of Mad Max films didn't end up being entirely wrong but I'm not mad cause they're both amazing. The staging and framing of a bunch of the segments would have been impossible of you weren't going OD on the green screen.

True but there's more instances where they could've gone practical than not in this film. One scene had ps2 graphics flames shooting out of a flamethrower
. It feels like they half assed the stylised approach you're talking about because there's loads of great looking scenes in this film that don't attempt to look goofy.
The criticism of this movie is some of the worst I've ever heard in my life
yeah I see one right above ur post
mfs need glasses clearly
audiences deserve the worst for letting this flop
It’s one of the few recent blockbusters I’d give 5 stars, seen it three times & it only goes by faster on each rewatch
I don't even care that this flopped. I care that the people who saw it think the point is for the story to flawlessly connect to Fury Road. It's such annoying nitpicking.
The movie carries like all of the thematic weight between the two. It's so much more significant. Fury Road is the f***ing part 6 Coda. And that's fine. It rocks. They're different! You can talk about Furiosa without mentioning Fury Road!
