Ukraine on Monday jointly proclaimed their commitment to a European future, standing with European Council President Charles Michel in what amounted to a triple rebuff of Russia, which has menaced all three countries in an effort to thwart their Western aspirations.
Incredibly weird to see Moldova swing back to suddenly being pro-EU. I remember the last president before this guy was extremely pro-Russia and anti-EU, and their relationship with Ukraine was really bad for awhile due to that. I guess the new guy must have re-improved those relations for the time being. I wonder how long this'll last or if the next president will just swing back the pendulum again.

Yeah pretty sure the same can be said for Ukraine up until 2014
Interesting to see how this goes

Ukraine's a little more complicated I'd say since they are basically on and off at war with Russia essentially, especially last decade. Ukraine supported Georgia during the Russia-Georgian wars too. They have had pro-Russia presidents but Ukraine has never been that extremely anti-EU/anti-NATO, they've straddled neutrality at worst. There is definitely a gap between government/people in Ukraine though on these things as opposed to some other countries in the area.

Ukraine keeps trying to force itself into NATO (there was that weird tweet where they incorrectly said they were joining NATO for example before being rebutted), so I do think these statements are strategic in trying to essentially continually re-position themselves in better proximity of buttering up NATO & EU powers. I suppose it makes sense because economically it'd be to their benefit, and they also likely think militarily that it'd rebuff Russia and draw a hard line preventing them from further aggrandizing the country. However realistically, all NATO countries know this...and they're more worried about being pulled into a war with Russia theoretically, which no one wants except like idiots in the American media. I don't think even the actual government in America wants war with Russia hence why they haven't been receptive to Ukraine's NATO pleas. It's a weird situation
Keep

China, Russia and America all don't want a war with each other. It'd threaten their interests and finances.

Yeah I know that's what I was saying. American media pundits are absolutely deranged though and would love to nuke russia. Have you seen what people like Keith Olbermann have said about russia? It's absolutely gross. Obviously none of these governments actually want war with each other. America has had a million excuses if they really wanted to through "defending" Ukraine, etc. and they've never hopped up on any of that.

America literally got into war to fumd the military industrial complex
I’m sure the only reason they won’t do open war rn is because the American public is too apathetic to commit to it as a result of the country f***ing them over for 70 years
what do you wanna do about it?
liberal leaning westeners whenever there's an excuse to raise tensions with Russia
Moldova not gonna join Romania like ever. The people don't even get along. Romania's govt is corrupt as f*** anyway they aint gonna do them any good! just more ground to steal from.
