True, but if you wanted to get someone else for it some mix engineers offer revenue share instead of full on compensation and mastering engineers are relatively inexpensive

Drake is only Drake because a label put him on. If OP doesn't sign a deal they sign someone else with hit potential and OP spends the rest of his life either working to try to get put on or wishing he would've signed a deal

@King_Slatt Label is setting you up to fail by competing with people that have a lot more clout in this industry than you do.

Drake didn’t become drake by trying to compete with the ogs right away, he did it by staying true to what sound he wanted to convey.

Just make the best music and if the people f*** with it then great!

The problem with trying to streamline to the majors that fast is that it’s going to come off as inauthentic and that’s the last thing you want is for people to just think your another talentless plant.

The fact that they are trying to apply so much pressure on you really might screw you up later because they are always going to want you to outdo the last and if you don’t they will use it against you when it comes to future contract talks.

Hope they didn’t give you more than you could chew. The most successful artist have a natural growth rate to the top. Just catapulting to the front of the line is not sustainable. They should have you building a strong foundation right now instead.
