in a grad school semester project and the person I got paired up with literally doesn't do s***. like we've had 3 assignments as a group so far and I've had to carry the group. The 3rd assignment I kinda stopped taking initiative and let them handle it. They were stressing out and then the day it was due I saw it still wasn't turned in.

I was messaging them as they were supposed to complete it and turn it in and didn't get a response. I then took a couple of hours to do it myself and called them and they said "yes please submit it thank you!" So I submitted it.

We had a proposal thing that just passed and it was their responsibility to work on it and turn it in and they didn't even do that.

I want to stop being so irritated and annoyed tbh. More than likely I'll have to just do this semester project my own and get it over with. but next semester I am definetly not pairing up with them bruh

whenever we're in class working on stuff they literally don't contribute. they just be staring at me work. she don't even ask the professor for questions herself. if she got a question she tells me to ask the professor on the "groups" behalf. at first it was whatever but now its just getting annoying ig idk

Because in most work places, you aren't working alone and often need to collaborate with coworkers.

Also you can just let them know they need to contribute. Go confront them

I had the same issue before one of my classes, i told my prof that i want to do the project alone even though it's a group and explained the situation ad he let me do it alone i would do the same thing if i were you

And they can get fired for not contributing. The same courtesy should be given to group projects but it isn’t always the case.
