How would you go about getting your music out to the people.
Don’t have to be everyone, just some of the people.

I used to think releasing good music and posting it on SoMe and online could enough, but I don’t anymore.

Then I tried some other methods.
I uploaded my music to YouTube under famous artists name, as leaks of their up and coming albums.
It is so far the method that has given me the most exposure.

But I am looking for better ways of getting my music out

Idk ive seen people just dm people on soundcloud who comment under songs they like

tiktok helped a lil, but most of my streams just came from spotify algorithm and ppl playlisting my s***

if you're lucky to live in an area with events/showcases/open mics and things, attend some of those

Booking live shows is basically the best thing to do, then have all your streaming app profiles connected and up to date with the little bio scribbles or whatever, promote yourself on socials/reddit/etc

You can book gigs at dusty dive bars or small independent venues, and halls. Maybe play at skate parks, that's been a thing in my state at least for awhile. I love seeing s***ty local artists at grimey ass dive bars, but I hate when I look them up and there's no bandcamp/Spotify/etc

Why Skype?

It is still the best promotion I have done.
It’s true that people get pissed, but if the artist you post as music is in the same genre as you, and your song is good people like the song.

I did it with one artist and when the artist album came out and people found it was not the artist song they wrote “ this is sadly not the artist, but my artist name but great production”
So it actually worked.

In other cases they just hate the music
