bro this song got me through a ridiculous amount of hard times in the past 6 years, this is the only song that as an adult, gets me feeling like a teenager listening to AKNC/MOTM1/2 i've felt the full spectrum of human emotions to this damn song
i probably won't get to see Ye perform this live unless he does a world tour again but i'm thankful i at least got to see Shake close out her show with this

KSG s***s on Donda easily

Not at all. It's a good album but Donda is way better.

Donda is trash compared to the Wyoming era and I'm not arguing with somebody who is listening to him since like 2019

I have been listening to him since way before, though admittedly not as much as uncles and aunties on this site like you.
Donda has a more scattershot approach but it's highs are way higher (even though some lows are lower too). Overall it's a way more enjoyable album to me.
People gas up KSG way too much due to how much they're obsessed with conciseness over content sometimes plus obviously groupthink due to critics overrating it too.
Also KSG just lacks the Ye level songs on it, the only one people would consider one is like Reborn and that sounds more like a Cudi song to me.
Donda just has that Ye level music like 24, Come To Life, Life of the Party, Off The Grid in abundance.
Tbh Kanye just never fell off for me. Ye amazing, one of the strongest emotional reactions i ever had to a first album listen. Donda era was legendary. I was crying listening to both lol Vultures was a lot of fun, had a blast listening to those livestreams and watching him recover somewhat after his mental health episodes. Beg forgiveness is amazing. I think a lot of people who say he fell off are blinded by nostalgia or are looking to get somehting different out of his self expression than i am
Sorry to op for sorta derailing the thread.
But yeah Ghost Town is really amazing. The second half of Ye verse starting with the wine line is just amazing to me and ofc that Shake part and outro is generational.
Song just feels like I'm breaking all my inhibitions.
No half truths just naked minds
Caught between space and time
This not what we had in mind
But maybe some daaay
he looked so happy during that era
KSG one of them albums that came at exactly the right time in my life, will always take me back to that place
(I know this is from Ye…)
Reborn/Cudi Montage hold this place for me

it’s all what’s it called, subjective, but nah

you don’t get why people hype up ksg cuz you wasn’t there when it dropped nor was you outside that summer huh

I absolutely get why people hype it, it came a decade after the duo started and was basically a wet dream of an average KTT1 user scrolling Kanye sxn religiously and swears that 'cudi saved my life'. Plus it tackles themes that any average teen would deal with.

That “some day…I’m not gonna please everybody” is the most relatable line as an adult.
