He's been saying that it's coming since 2009, who the hell knows at this point. SC2 or not, if he makes another album with Pete Rock, Alch, RZA, etc it'll be incredible.

I didn’t say he hasn’t dropped anything good outside of Illmatic, I just meant that album alone ranks him pretty highly since it’s quite possibly the greatest rap album ever made. it was written, the lost tapes, stillmatic, etc are still solid.

Illmatic is the best album ever, but he has expanded his vision and evolved several times after that album in terms of subject matter and performance.
One Mic, for example, is not a song he could've made on his first attempt.. and it's one of the best songs ever made.
It Was Written and The Lost Tapes are better than discographies too.. and he has plenty of mindblowing songs and features in every era.
Idk, to me he's the GOAT and it's a no brainer.

Scott RaidenAll of his first 6 solo albums are great.
Even for Bulletproof Wallets, which I hear wasn't received well, it's a lot better than most GOAT Rappers' worst albums.
Plus 36 Chambers and Wu Tang Forever for Group Projects
He has the Impact/Influence (by Wu Tang Association), the Catalog, and the skill
He definitely needs to be mentioned more among best overall rap artists.
