@op the way you describe it it does sound like you fr just need to open up a bit more, slowly. it isn't easy but ultimately the only way you're ever gonna feel safe around anyone is to allow them into your head a bit.

it's maybe easier to frame it just like you do here - you can also just talk about feeling weird that you don't have strong opinions for example, just be real about things.

see if she engages w empathy when you explain why you struggle to open up and show her something real, and if not - the whole dance is probably not worth it w her anyway. you'll honestly feel better either way, bc if she's being weird to you being open you at least know where you're at. the uncertainty and hiding yourself is the most crippling part.

honestly, I don't know how she said this but her being so brash to call you empty and cold is pretty hurtful language and kind of a red flag to me. maybe she's also just a bit immature in that way herself, but yh.
